Dear Caring Friends,

As the days grow longer and the weather warms, the northern hemisphere awakens with the vibrant energy of spring. It's a season of renewal and optimism, mirroring the spirit of change and innovation that WHo CAREs!? Chronicles and Change NOW embody. As we prepare to welcome thought leaders and changemakers from around the globe for our ninth edition (24/25/26 April), we wanted to wish you a vibrant season of hope and positive change.

Into the Heart of Change:

Content by Who Cares Chronicles during Change Now has been brought to you since the summit's inception in 2017. We've been dedicated to bringing crucial conversations and inspiring voices to the forefront. Over the years, we've explored vital topics ranging from human rights and ocean protection to responsible fashion, peacebuilding, neurodiversity, and most importantly, amplifying Indigenous voices.

This year marks a significant moment for us as we prepare to host a panel unlike any before: one dedicated to the transformative power of love

The preparation for this panel has been a true highlight of the year so far, and we eagerly anticipate the insightful dialogue it will spark.

We're thrilled to highlight some of the incredible speakers who will be joining this groundbreaking discussion, including our longtime friend Giles Duley and the inspiring Teun Toebes.

We highly recommend watching the trailer for Teun's powerful documentary, "Human Forever," available here.

Join us at ChangeNOW Summit 2025!

The summit will take place at the iconic Grand Palais in Paris on April 24th, 25th, and 26th.

You can explore the full program and discover more about the event here: https://www.changenow.world/program-2025/

*Giles Duley is not just a photographer; he's a powerful storyteller and advocate dedicated to highlighting the long-term humanitarian impact of conflict. His work often focuses on the victims of war, particularly civilians, and he has documented their struggles and resilience in numerous countries around the world.

*Teun Toebes (born in 1999) is a Dutch healthcare innovator, humanitarian activist, and author dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with dementia worldwide. His approach is deeply personal and insightful, stemming from his experience of living within nursing homes alongside residents with dementia for over three years. This immersive experience, documented in his international bestseller "The Housemates," provided him with a unique perspective on the shortcomings of traditional dementia care and fueled his passion for change.

At the Forefront of Hydrogen Innovation:

Nora was recently invited to speak at Meet4Hydrogen, an event inaugurated by the French Minister of Ecological Transition.

The focus was on the crucial role of hydrogen in the ecological transition of air and sea transport. While Nora's conversation centered on the transformative period we are witnessing in this industry, in honor of Women's History Month, she chose to acknowledge the remarkable Katharine Wright Haskell.

For those unfamiliar with her story, Katharine was pivotal to the Wright brothers' success, particularly in their public interactions. While Wilbur and Orville were more reserved, Katharine's outgoing and charming personality proved invaluable as they gained fame and needed to connect with investors, officials, and the public. She accompanied them to Europe, learned French, and masterfully helped craft a relatable public image, earning her the affectionate title "the human side of the Wrights." Her exceptional social skills facilitated crucial connections with influential figures, significantly aiding in the promotion of their inventions and the securing of vital business opportunities.

Beyond her public relations role, Katharine also managed the home front and their bicycle shop, allowing her brothers the space and focus needed for their groundbreaking work. She provided unwavering emotional support, practical advice, and often acted as their spokesperson. Although her contributions were frequently overshadowed, Katharine's intelligence, capability, and steadfast support were undeniably instrumental in the Wright brothers' ability to navigate the world and achieve their historic success.

*Meet4Hydrogen 2025 is a business convention dedicated to the burgeoning field of hydrogen applications. The 2025 edition was held in Marseille, France, on March 25th and 26th. This year's event marked a significant convergence, combining two previous successful initiatives: HySky, which focused on hydrogen applications in the air and space industries, and HyPort, which centered on maritime, inland waterway, and port applications. This strategic combination aimed to foster valuable synergies and collaborations across these vital sectors.

Maison 2050 - A Hub for Ecological Transition

We are thrilled to share that Environmental Intelligence, and the E.I. project have been selected to be part of the Maison 2050, 2025 edition. Nora was honored to attend the launch of the book, hosted at UNESCO. The evening featured an exquisite dinner and a thought-provoking speech from Luc Julia, the co-inventor of SIRI and Scientific Director at Renault.

"La Maison 2050," an initiative by the esteemed French media group Les Echos-Le Parisien (a subsidiary of LVMH), was launched in April 2024 as a key component of their broader "2050Now" project. It's important to note that "La Maison 2050" is not a physical residence but rather a dynamic "center of knowledge and acceleration" specifically designed to support companies in navigating their ecological transition.

You can learn more about the E.I project here.

*"La Maison 2050" serves as a crucial hub designed to empower businesses in their ecological transition. Its primary focus is to help companies navigate the challenges and opportunities of this shift by offering a comprehensive suite of services, including engaging events, tailored training programs, and valuable knowledge resources. Strategically leveraging the existing expertise of Netexplo, a digital transformation company within the Les Echos-Le Parisien group, "La Maison 2050" targets companies across various sectors committed to integrating sustainability. As a central pillar of the broader "2050Now" project, which also includes the media outlet "2050Now Le Media," this initiative functions as a vital nexus where businesses can access the essential knowledge, resources, and collaborative networks needed to accelerate their journey towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

A SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENT:

Sintesis, an upcoming project based in Madrid, spearheaded by our beloved Head of Content and visionary Agnes Opadczuck.

Sintesis promises to be a groundbreaking endeavor in the realm of food culture. Described as a "food matriarch," Agnes is set to curate unique and enriching experiences centered around food education. The project aims to revitalize our understanding of food origins and processes, fostering a deeper connection between consumers and the sources of their nourishment.

By bringing back knowledge to our palates and rehabilitating our connection to food and crops, Sintesis aims to empower individuals to make more informed choices about what they eat and to cultivate a greater appreciation for the journey of food from its source to our tables. This innovative project has the potential to transform Madrid's food landscape and inspire a more conscious and sustainable approach to food consumption.

Sintesis will also spotlight artists and furniture designers who transcend traditional aesthetics and functionality, becoming pivotal in forging a more sustainable future. This space will showcase their unique skills and perspectives as a hub for innovation, inspiring change, and uniting creativity with environmental responsibility.

Sintesis envisions itself as a harmonious blend of gastronomy, art, and education, seeking to redefine our relationship with the environment, our communities, and ourselves.

Bravo Agnes!!!

See you all soon, Caring Friends, and don’t forget to keep smiling,

With Love,

The WHo CAREs Chronicles Team
